‘The kid from Akron’ just passed his idol in NBA’s all time scoring list and becomes 4th behind Kobe Bryant, Karl Malone and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Although James’s first season with the Los Angeles Lakers is disappointing with the team being 11th in the western conference standing with 30 wins and 35 losses, LeBron managed to overtake his childhood idol Wednesday night against the Denver Nuggets 5 minutes and 38 seconds into the second quarter.

James finished the game with 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, however the nuggets spoiled his night with a 115-99 victory.


LeBron got emotional after his achievement “I gotta carry it on to the next kid.Hopefully I can inspire the next kid like myself.” a deeply moved James said after the game.
